Phet Simulation - Gases Intro Worksheet |
Description
|
I made this by clicking on each option in the simulation one at a time in order to teach my students the behavior of gas particles. I use this at the beginning of the unit before they have learned the individual gas laws. Then I refer back to it as we learn each law. This can be done during class, but this year my students did it on their own remotely.
Personal Note to Teachers: If you do it remotely, make them write their answers in pencil or pen on a print out or separate paper. I had students submitted the same Word doc under two names. One kid emailed it to the other and they both expected full credit. Instead they both got zeros! After that I told everyone that they had to hand write answers, so even if they copied from a friend at least it took a while to write it all down. I also noticed some lazy students just writing the same collision count for all three cases. This is impossible. You can't even get the same collision count twice if you keep all the conditions the same. So watch out for cheaters.
