Radioactive Decay, Fission and Chain Reactions
Title
|
Radioactive Decay, Fission and Chain Reactions |
Description
|
This in-class work (ICW) is used in a university non-math "How Things Work" course (replacing the lecture). It is designed to accompany section 16.1 in Bloomfield's text (3rd ed). It uses the Radioactive Decay and Nuclear Fission simulations, and is preceded by an in-class activity "Decay by Die" that does not use simulations and is also included as a separate Word document file. (I also have a version of "Decay by Die "that uses two die, more interesting if you want to study probability... contact me if interested or if solutions are desired.) |
